Past in a pack…

“She carries her past in a pack. Sealed with wax in a plastic bag.

That she takes everywhere. And pretends she doesn’t care.

She pushes today with a heavy hand. Almost more than she can stand.

Moving mountains to keep it up. Taking it all back from the start.

And she feels it wont be long, sick and tired of being strong.

With too much inside her mind, hiding tears behind a smile.

If there’s peace, she wants some, if tomorrow never comes.

Then there ain’t no other way, it is gonna be today..

She carries her future in her hands. Holding it high while she can.

Madly trying to understand. What’s the meaning of it all.

She sees the world as a question mark. Barely knowing where it starts.

Every answer demands a fight. Madly trying to keep it right.

And she feels it wont be long, sick and tired of being strong.

With too much inside her mind, hiding tears behind a smile.

If there’s peace, she wants some, if tomorrow never comes.

Then there ain’t no other way, it is gonna be today.

It ain’t easy to drop out.

There will always be doubt.

It’s the kind of thing that makes you scream and shout.

And she feels it wont be long, sick and tired of being strong.

(And she feels, she don’t belong)

With too much inside her mind, hiding tears behind a smile.

(And she feels, she don’t belong)

If there’s peace, she wants some, if tomorrow never comes.

(And she feels, she don’t belong)

Then there ain’t no other way, it is gonna be today..

(And she feels, she don’t belong)”.
